BMW Performance Builds a Drag Prepped S1000 RR

FROM STREET TO STRIP:

BMW PERFORMANCE CENTER S 1000 RR DRAGBIKE WILL BE AT THE QUAKER STEAK AND LUBE BIKENIGHT OCTOBER 13,

AND THE GREER DRAGWAY OCTOBER 14

Built to further demonstrate the capabilities of BMW’s radical, new S 1000 RR, BMW Performance Center’s Dragbike developed, tested and tuned by the dragracing experts at Brock’s Performance, BMW’s fully customized, race-tuned dragbike is based on “Christine,” an Acid Green Metallic screamer that has astounded the quarter-mile community with a best run of 8.47 seconds at 163 mph.

BMW’s most radical exhibition bike was built by the crew at the Touring Sport BMW in Greenville, SC  just a few miles from the BMW Performance Center, which teaches street and off-road coursework in and around its $12 million facility and the surrounding western Carolina and Tennessee mountains.  Fully street legal, this special S 1000 RR is outfitted with, all the latest BMW HP carbon parts, and race accessories, including quick-shift assist, carbon adjustable rear seat, folding race levers, a Brock’s Performance CT Meg™ Full-Titanium Carbon-Tip exhaust system, Brock’s-mapped Dynojet Power Commander, Alumi-Pro 9” over swingarm, controlled by Brock’s custom Dragshock™ and rolls on ultra-trick BST carbon-fiber wheels.

The BMW Performance Center Dragbike will be on displayed tomorrow evening.   Come see the BMW RR dragbike close up on Wednesday, and the Greer, SC Dragway at the Thursday night test and tune.
